A fun winter engagement session

Yesterday was a first for me.... I had a photography session with a couple I had never met before! This is Chris and Lisa and I will be shooting their wedding in May. We had a great time yesterday despite the cold temperatures..... I have a lot of great shots.... here are just a few!

Its been awhile....

Well I have a lot more pictures to post on the blog but just have not been able to get around to it. I hope to post some tomorrow. We had the flu bug hit home over here.... so yeah.... but all seems to be getting on the mend so that makes me very happy! :)

p.s How is your Chirstmas shopping and decorating going? Well I'm happy to say that I've had a tree up since mid-Novemeber (hey..why not?) and excited that I have a babysitter New Years Eve..... but the Christmas shopping.... haven't started, I guess I better put that on my to do list with everything else! :)

My first maternity shoot!

Well it was great to capture the Rypstra family again! I have been taking their family pictures since their 3 year old daughter was a newborn. They really have seen my work transform over the years. They are now expecting child #2 due on Christmas Eve, so we thought we capture some maternity shots before the lil' one makes its debut! Here are just a few of my favorite shots from today.

Yesterday I had a great time with my life long friends Carrie and Selena. We had a day with just the 3 of us which involved a fun photo-shoot, a nice long lunch at a quiet restaurant, and Costco... a perfect girls day out!
Carrie, Selena and I only have brothers so we have always considered ourselves sisters. They are like sisters to me...I know no matter what I can tell them anything and they will be there for me and love me. They are lots of fun and totally honest. (: Even though distance separates us and we don't see each other as much as we would like.... when we get together its just like we have never been apart.

Well Tom and Jenna's Wedding has wrapped up my weddings of 2008! I can't believe it is done ... it seems like just yesterday I was doing my first wedding of the year.... Time Flys!! I have enjoyed each wedding I did so much! It is so great going to a job you LOVE! Thanks again for letting me be apart of your special day!

Great Fall Family Shoot!!!

I had a great time this evening shooting a great family! They were a lot of fun to work with.... including the 4 year old..... who is like all the other 4 year olds around! (: Since my time has been either filled with weddings or vacation (Holland!) I haven't been able to get many family shoots in, so it was great to get out this evening to do a beautiful fall session. This family is GORGOUS! Look at my friend Jen in the picture below..... beauty! She is beautiful inside and out! Well Jerry and Jen I hope you love the few pictures I posted as much as I do!
